Jacob Moshokoa from Cars.co.za visited Team Nerdo in Alrode, Alberton, South Africa to feature their Volkswagen Golf Mk7. The project started with a MK7 TSI shell they painted in VW Tiguan green paint. Under the hood they installed a 3.2 L EA390 VR6 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The motor makes plenty of noise through a custom stainless steel exhaust. Team Nerdo dropped the body and installed an air bag suspension to allow the Golf ride low. Behind the wheels they installed Mercedes AMG six-piston calipers in front and four-piston calipers in back. Future plans include swapping to a DSG transmission and AWD drivetrain.
