Scantron’s Garage started building a unique Toyota MR2 (SW20) 10 years ago. In that time the sports car has come a long way. In the back behind a custom firewall is a naturally aspirated LSx V8. The motor features upgraded camshaft and valve springs, custom stainless steel exhaust, and low profile oil pan. Behind the motor is a custom adapter bolted to a Porsche six-speed manual transaxle. The MR2 riders on a custom rear subframe, custom lower control arms, Porsche suspension, and Brembo disc brakes. Scantron’s Garage also made a custom rear deck lid, modified hood, custom widebody, and custom door panels.

  1. Interesting that he didn’t lenghthen the wheelbase, and yet it still fits. The driving position must be really tight.
