Ironworks Speed & Kustom created this amazing 1967 Mustang called “DS-500R” and won Goodguys PPG 2023 Street Machine of the Year and Outstanding Engineering Award at the 2023 Grand Nation Roadster Show. The Mustang is powered by a supercharged 5.4 L Modular V8 from a Shelby GT500. Behind that is a Bowler T56 six-speed manual transmission and 9-inch rear end with a GearFX differential. The Mustang rides on a Detroit Speed front suspension, custom 4-link rear suspension, RideTech shocks with Hyperco springs, and Wilwood 14-inch disc brakes. Cotati Speed Shop covered the classic body in PPG Metallic Gray accented by a set of custom EVOD wheels with Michelin tires (275/35-19, 335/30-20).
