The owner of this 1977 Datsun 280Z wanted more power so they sent it to Godzilla Raceworks in Fort Worth, Texas. The company swapped a 5.3 L LSx V8 from ATK Engines using Dirty Dingo mounts. The motor features a Summit camshaft (.550 lift, 222/232 duration), Melling high-flow oil pump, Holley low profile oil pan, CX Racing longtube headers, and custom 3-inch stainless steel exhaust. On top the added a FiTech short runner intake manifold, Summit 102 mm throttle body, and LS2 ignition coils. Fuel is supplied by Bosch EV6 440 cc injectors by a Walbro 255 lph pump controlled by a Terminator X ECU. Behind the motor is a Southbend Stage 2 Endurance clutch and flywheel and Tremec Magnum F six-speed manual transmission. A Godzilla Raceworks LSx swap driveshaft sends power to a R200 differential with FutoFab billet axles. The company improved handling using Eibach lowering springs, Apex Engineered adjustable front control arms and tension rods, Techno Toy Tuning strut tower braces, Apex Engineered adjustable rear control arms, and ST Suspension sway bars.
