Chris Smith built this 1970 Camaro called “Angry Smurf” at his company Smitty’s Custom Automotive for autocross and road course racing. The classic F-body is powered by a 427 ci (7.0L) LS7 V8 built by Kurt Urban capable of 719 hp (528 kW). It features a Concept Performance block, Callies crank, Dyers rods, Diamond pistons, Brodix heads, and Nick Williams 103 mm throttle body. Behind the motor is a Pfitzner six-speed sequential transmission and independent rear end. The Camaro rides on a Speedtech ExtReme front subframe, Speedtech independent rear suspension, and Motion Control 4-way adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs. Stopping is handled by Wilwood AERO6 six-piston front brakes and Superlight rear brakes. Those are covered by Forgeline forged GA3R wheels (18×11, 18×12) with BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S tires (315/30, 335/30).
