Nick Bryduck calls his 1992 VW Golf Mk2 “Waskly“. The project is the combination of Nick’s vision and the fabrication skills of Patience Metal Fab. The result might be the ultimate Mk2 Golf.

The car is powered by a 3.2 L VR6 built by Schimmel Performance capable of 1000+ hp (735+ kW). The motor features Mahle low-compression pistons, I-beam forged rods, custom oil pan, and sits on Fabless mounts. On tops sits a ported head with Techtonics Tuning camshafts and Ferrara valvetrain. On each side is a Krabrifab custom intake and exhaust manifold leading to a Garrett GTX3584RS turbocharger.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a ClutchMasters FX850 Super single disc clutch and O2M six-speed manual transmission with Cryogenic teated gearset and a Wavetrac limited-slip differential. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Haldex rear end with a Wavetrac limited-slip differential and vd Veer Engineering controller. All wheels are turned by Driveshaft Shop 1000 hp axles.

Patience Metal Fab built a custom tubular cradle to support the 4Motion differential. The car’s suspension features Fabless front control arms and Scale Suspension adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by Wilwood six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes.

Turning to the exterior we find the body trim removed and Voomeran fender flares and side skirts added. One of the most unique mods is a VW Caddy tailgate with the molded “VOLKSWAGEN” is welded into the firewall. Everything is covered in a custom blue color paint and accented by smoked headlights and taillights. The finishing touch is a set of BBS LM 090 17×9-inch wheels wearing Toyo 205/40 tires.

Inside the cabin are Recaro Trophy XL front seats. Those and the door panels are covered in black leather with Relicate Spirit Of Le Mans blue and orange plaid fabric inserts. The leather covered dashboard features a custom 3D-printed bezel holding an AIM digital display. The occupants are protected by an orange painted roll cage also created by Patience Metal Fab.
