Duta Liviu built a 2002 BMW M3 (E46) to drag race. The coupe is now powered by a S50B32 inline-six from a BMW E36 M3 boosted by a large turbocharger. The motor produces 1150 hp (845 kW) and 1200+ Nm (885+ lb-ft) of torque. The motor is paired to an 8HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission featuring upgraded clutches and billet baskets. It runs on a Turbolamik transmission controller. A custom one-piece aluminum driveshaft sends power to a BMW 530d (G30) rear end. Watch Duta and the E46 go 8.89 sec at 252 km/h (156 mph) at the RoDrag Racing event in Arad, Romania.
