Alfaholics transformed this Alfa Romeo 105 series into a GTA-R 290 at their company in United Kingdom. The Italian sports car now benefits from an upgraded powertrain and lightweight suspension.
Alfaholics installed a 2.1 L Alfa Romeo Twin Spark inline-four capable of 240 hp at 7000 rpm. It features an aluminum block with custom 94 mm stroke crankshaft, steel rods, and forged pistons. On top sits a ported aluminum head with upgraded valvetrain.
Behind the motor is a close-ratio five-speed manual transmission. A lightweight driveshaft transmits power to a live axle with titanium tubes and limited-slip differential.
Alfaholics enhanced the car’s handling using a lightweight titanium suspension. The front features titanium tubular upper control arms, titanium billet lower control arms, and titanium uprights. The rear uses titanium trailing arms. Both use double adjustable coilovers. Braking was improved using six-piston calipers with 300 mm carbon ceramic rotors in front. In the rear they installed two-piston calipers with 280 mm carbon ceramic rotors.
Alfaholics further reduced the car’s weight with carbon fiber hood, doors, and trunk lid. They covered the body in Verde Bosco Metallic paint with a Crema Heritage accent in front. Under the arches are Alfaholics lightweight 15×7-inch wheels wearing Yokohama tires.
The interior now features a set of leather covered Recaro seats with Willans harnesses. In front of that is a leather-wrapped Momo Prototipo steering wheel. Alfaholics protected the driver with a 14-point roll cage wrapped in Alcantara.
