Diminutive built this Mini called the “EcoBeast” at their company in the UK. In the back of the car behind a custom firewall is a turbocharged 1.6 L EcoBoost inline-four sourced from a Mk7 Ford Fiesta ST. The motor’s 400 hp is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford IB6 six-speed transmission with a 3.82 ratio. The Mini rides on a tubular front subframe with double-wishbone front suspension. The rear uses a removable modular engine cradle with trailing arm rear suspension. Diminutive added adjustable coilovers in front and rear. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-piston calipers with 260 mm rotors in front. Those are covered by Minilite 13×7-inch wheels with Nankang NS-2R 175/50 tires. Diminutive restored the Mk3 body with Mk1 fiberglass hood, carbon fiber trunk lid, and carbon fiber Mk1 grill. The body is covered in Performance Blue paint with a gloss black roof.
