1968 Camaro with a LS7 V8

1968 Camaro built by Petty's Garage for Mahle

Petty’s Garage built this 1968 Camaro for Mahle Aftermarket as a giveaway for the 2018 SEMA Show. The classic F-body is powered by a 7.0 L LS7 V8 producing 443 hp (330 kW) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque to the wheels. The motor features Mahle pistons, Clevite bearings, Kooks exhaust headers, and converted from dry sump to a wet sump oiling system. Behind that is a Tremec TKO-600 five-speed manual transmission and Ford 9-inch rear end. To improve handling Petty’s Garage installed Ridetech tubular front control arms, Strong Arm sway bars, and rear coilovers. They swapped the factory brakes for Wilwood six-piston front brakes and four-piston rear brakes. Those are covered by Forgeline GE3R wheels (18×8, 19×12) and Yokohama Advan tires (245/40, 325/30). On the outside Petty’s Garage shaved the marker lights and drip rails. The body is covered in a BASF R-M MAHLE custom blue paint completed with flush mounted glass. The Camaro crossed the block at Cars&Bids and Bring a Trailer.
