Vorshlag Motorsports and their 2013 Scion FR-S track car visited Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas to compete in the SCCA TT. After two days of racing the company achieved 3rd-place in Max4 class. The FR-S is powered by a 3.7 L Honda J37A1 V6 capable of 300 hp (220 kW) and 275 lb-ft (372 Nm) of torque. It features P2R intake manifold, Acura TLX 70 mm throttle body, LS3 injectors, custom exhaust manifolds, and a Link ECU. Behind the motor is a custom adapter plate, Aisin AZ6 six-speed manual transmission from a 2009-2011 Mazda RX-8, custom driveshaft, and factory rear end. You can read more details on the project in Vorshlag’s build thread. Vorshlag plans to upgrade the brakes, uprights, hubs, and wheels.
