BYP Racing’s Integra Type R is powered by a supercharged Honda K24 inline-four making 430 hp (320 kW) to the wheels on E85 fuel. The previous engine was a less powerful supercharged K24 that BYP Racing states was the most cost-effective motors they raced. They competed for five years with that motor and covered 10,000 race kilometers. The engine’s recipe starts with a stock K24A3 inline-four which BYP Racing adds a K20 oil pump, OEM PRB sump with Clockwise Motion drop-in baffle, 50-degree VTC cam gear, OEM PRB intake manifold with 62 mm throttle body, and top & bottom seal kit. Boost is generated by a Rotrex C38-91 supercharger with BYP Racing’s CNC supercharger brackets and 8-rib fixed belt tensioner and belt. On the exhaust BYP Racing added K-Swap V2 header and 3-inch exhaust. The combo produces 350 hp (257 kW) to the wheels on 10 psi (0.6 bar) of boost.
