This Honda Civic visited the specialists at BYP Racing for a powertrain upgrade. In the engine bay the team installed a 600+ hp Honda K-series motor and built transmission for a future AWD conversion. The inline-four features forged rods, K20R pistons, PRB head, Supertech dual valve springs, titanium retainers, factory camshafts, and a Turbosmart 6262 turbocharger. The owner has plans to convert the car to AWD in the future. BYP Racing rebuilt the AWD six-speed transmission with PPG helical synchro 1st-4th gearset and Wavetrac limited-slip differential. BYP Racing tuned the motor for three boost settings configured for boost-by-gear against RPM. The motor made 624 hp (465 kW) at 27 psi (1.8 bar) of boost.
