Prestige Performance was tasked with replacing the powertrain in this Mitsubishi Evo 9 at their company in Vineyard, NSW, Australia. The car arrived with a turbocharged 4G63 inline-four paired with a Samsonas sequential transmission. Prestige Performance swapped the 4G63 for a 3.8 L 6G75 V6 from a Mitsubishi 380. The company added forged pistons and rods, upgraded head studs, valve springs, aftermarket camshafts, and G42-1400 turbocharger. The goal is to make 1,000+ hp (735+ kW). Prestige Performance kept the car AWD but without any Mitsubishi parts. All four wheels turn thanks to a DQ500 seven-speed automatic transmission and Audi RS3 Quattro drivetrain.
