1988 Golf with a Turbo Audi 1.8 L

This 1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI is powered by a turbocharged 1.8 L 20-valve inline-four from a 2003 Audi TT. The motor features a K064 turbocharger, upgraded fuel injectors, Forge diverter valve, and aftermarket intercooler. The motor is tuned by TT Team in Athens, Greece. Power is sent to the front wheels through a 02J five-speed manual transmission and TSI axles. The factory subframes were swapped for Mk3 Golf VR6 subframes. The suspension uses an Ultra Racing front subframe brace, Eibach springs, Bilstein B8 shocks, and Audi TT 312 mm front brake rotors. The body was repainted in metallic blue accented by Schmidt Revolution 16-inch wheels. You can view more photos and details on Bring a Trailer.
