KMP Speed Shop is returning to World Cup Finals at Maryland International Raceway with their “Frog 4.0” MR2 to compete in the Wild Street class. The company made several changes since Frog 3.0. The car is now running a Honda K24 block with BC Racing 92 mm forged crank with custom L.A. sleeves, custom R&R aluminum rods, custom Wiseco pistons with Trend Performance TP1 series 23 mm pins, and 4Piston oil pump. KMP Speed Shop made a new engine plate and new custom mounts allowing the motor to lean forward 18 degrees. The engine is now compound-turbocharged with a G40-1150 small turbocharger, G57-3000 main turbocharger, and custom KMP Speed Shop intercooler with Vibrant 6-inch core. Hopefully these upgrades give KMP Speed Shop the title of “World’s Quickest MR2”.
