A Canadian National locomotive was traveling through Independence, Louisiana when the 4400 hp V16 4 stroke diesel engine threw a piston. The piston ended up traveling through the locomotive, across a yard, through the roof and ended inside the wall of someone’s home. It is very the piston did not hit anyone. The weight and force of that piston probably would have killed them.
