The owner was originally going to use a 1986 5.0L Ford V8 but instead went with a turbocharged 2.3L from a Ford Merkur. The engine has been bored .30 over and has all new internals. The completed swap was dynoed at 197 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Some might scoff at the power numbers since we see such high power builds but I think this is plenty of power to have fun with.
