This 1987 Camaro IROC-Z was built for Brad Bedsaul by Detroit Speed in Mooresville, North Carolina and Hawks Motorsports in Easley, South Carolina. Brad sent the Camaro first to Detroit Speed to receive their Speed Kit 3 front suspension and Speed Kit 2 rear suspension upgrades. The front features JRI single ajsustable coilovers, tubular lower control arms, sway bar, and caster/camber plate while the rear features coilover kit, lower Swivel-Link, and sway bar. Brand then sent the car to Hawks Motorsports for a LS7 V8 that makes 540 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque to the wheels. A set of Z28 15-inch carbon ceramic brakes sits behind Forgeline 18×10 VX1R wheels with BFGoodrich g-Force Rival S 315/30ZR18 tires.

Can u build me a nice 427
Hi Julian. There are many LSx builders out there including crate options from Chevy Performance. https://www.chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines
Always liked these 80s Camaros. Now that it’s got some real power and nice upgrades it’s real nice.
They did a fantastic job increasing the power and handling on this car.
Just happened to be listening to a Weezer cover of Everybody Wants To Rule the World when I saw this post. Fantastic swap. Definitely breathes life into a car crippled by FE and emissions.
Going from the factory 160-200 hp to 540 whp would be an amazing change to feel.
Glad to see someone building this model of Camaro. This build pushes me to build mine.
That’s great. The third generation Camaro is growing in popularity.
Wowwww is that ls7 3rd gen camaro for sale?
