Peter Rogers considers this 1967 Mustang convertible to be the first classic Mustang with a Coyote V8 swap. The car was finished in late 2012 by Peter’s company The Mustang Shop of San Diego.
The engine remained completely stock with the exception of a re-flashed ECM. A custom transmission tunnel was built to hold the Tremec TKO 600 five-speed and was connected to a Currie 9″ rear end.
Handling was upgraded to a full coilover suspension with a Mustang II front, TCP 4-link rear, custom sub-frame connectors, and Wilwood brakes on all four corners.

I was planning on restoring my 67 Convertible Mustang, I am planning on putting in a full frame from Roadster I am also thinking of putting in a coyote engine with a supper charger and a tremec 6 speed I was wonder if I could bother you for your expert advice on frames and if I would be able to close the hood a factory one I see you can close you factory hood do you think I would be able to fit a super charger in it. I don’t mean to be nothing you I am just hoping that since you put a coyote in yours that you might be able to answer these questions. And I really do love your car I always wanted to have a 67 convertible mustang and was finaly able to buy it in 2000 but a doctor infected me so I was not able to start working on it until now you see I ended up having to have a heart transplant because of the infection so now that I have my new heart I want to work on this mustang I even bought a tilt away steering in 95 because I new I was going to get 1 one day.
