The diesel Supra has made a lot of progress since our last article. The owner finished welding the custom firewall and transmission tunnel before installing a freshly painted 6BT diesel inline-six and ZF S5-47 five-speed manual transmission. The suspension now features an Air Lift Performance air suspension with Airmaxx 580 compressors. They also spent a lot of time on the custom exhaust, driveshaft, and adapter. Wonderful ! I have 05 Dodge 250 Ram with BT6. 35 MPG on open road Atlanta to San Antonio and back never over 70 MPH. 2 wheel drive. I want a 1/2 ton pick up with a BT 4 two wheel drive and around a 3.0 rear gear
Don’t tow or haul much ever. Maybe 45 MPG.

I have a 335 d in line six diesel 3 liter. 430hp, 550 torque . 45 + flatlands at 80mph. Hills up to 5000ft 34mpg uphill.

There have been fuel systems made that get well over 125 mpg but you’ll not find one. When I was 17 years old an old man bought a Cadillac at our hometown dealer. He got around 125 mph with the car. They sent him within about 3 weeks of his buying the car and recalled it. They said that they had made a mistake in that there was an experimental prototype fuel system on the car that they were supposed to have taken off but failed to do so and now had to remove it.
Old story but never true. I’m a master mechanic. Impossibility of physics. Old Cadillacs didn’t have aerodynamics, proper compression, roller valve train, variable cam timing, turbo chargers, after coolers to burn fuel that effectively.
