1992 Camaro Z28 with a LS3 V8

This 1992 Camaro Z28 called “Back in Black” was built by Level 7 Motorsports in Marion, Illinois. Under the hood sits a LS3 V8 crate motor with Holley Dominator EFI producing 495 horsepower. The engine is mated to a Bowler T56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission and Moser 12-bolt rear end with Eaton Truetrac LSD and 3.90 gears. They installed the engine and transmission using Hooker BlackHeart engine mounts, transmission crossmember, and stainless steel headers. The Camaro rides on a full RideTech suspension consisting of tubular control arms, coilovers, front and rear sway bars, adjustable torque arm and front strut mounts. A set of Forgeline GA1R 18-inch wheels cover Wilwood six-piston calipers with 14-inch rotors in front and four-piston calipers with 12.88-inch rotors in back.

  1. I am a Camaro fan and I’ve had from 1969 up to 1997 Camaros. I loved my 2970 and did a great project with my 88. Places a 400 4 bolt main small block with a Muncie 4 speed. Love the back on black project

  2. You named It Back in Black so at least make it black on black all the interior put in black car a nice set of black Ricardo’s and put a cherry on top of that b**** put a nice blower in that motor compartment at least put it to over 500 just under 5 that sucks.lol most guys that say that probably never even drove a car with 400 hp NICE CAR

  3. Everything about this build is tasteful and down-to-business. Every dollar and minute invested to improve this car was put in just the right places. Just one man’s .02 cents and… Normally I wouldn’t bother leaving a comment. BUT… These F-bodies are SO easy to “F-up” by getting carried away. This Camaro is NOT one of those examples. Great job Level 7.

  4. Can someone talk to me about the A/C setup in there?!?!?!? Vintage Air had no real interest in creating a kit (sure you could buy all the pieces as a universal kit). But can you tell me about that setup “please” ??????

  5. Hi I’ve owned a 1982 Z28 Crossfire injection a 85 Z28 tuned port injection a 87 350 tuned port injection and I have a current 94 LT1 Z2 I’m the original owner of all t94 I turned into LT4t’a one-of-a-kind I ordered all cars new and waited months to receive them because they had rare build combinations
