JCB’s Backhoe GT is labeled the fastest backhoe in the world. The custom tractor is powered by a supercharged big-block Chevy V8 capable of 1,000 horsepower. The vehicle is able to reach 120 mph but only needed 70 mph (116.8 kph) to break the record in Australia. JCB further improved performance by reducing the tractor’s weight. It is made from aluminum and a lighter steel chassis. This is the first time we heard about this project but JCB has been building the GT in one form or another for 20 years.
