1968 Cortina With A Modern Ford V6

This 1968 Ford Cortina is for sale on Hemmings in California. The original owner built the car to look like a 1970’s British saloon race car. Under the fiberglass hood sits a DOHC Cosworth V6 from a 1990’s Ford making 205 horsepower. Not a ton of power but considering the car only weighs 1,800 lbs it should be enough. The rest of the car has been pieced together from more European makes. The transmission is a five-speed manual from a German Ford Sierra with a heavy-duty clutch, the rear end is from a Jaguar 3.8 and the brakes are from a Triumph TR6. The body features a fiberglass hood, trunk, and plastic rear windows.
