Steve Holland from Dutchy’s Garage attended the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Australia with his “MiniRex” 1961 Mini. The little blue car is powered by a turbocharged Subaru EJ25 flat-four sitting in back. The motor is paired to a WRX five-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential and Subarugears RWD kit. Everything is supported by a custom tubular subframes fabricated by Steve with Mazda MX-5 NB control arms and brakes. Steve drove MiniRex down the quarter-mile three times and went 12.9, 12.8, and 12.9 sec. Watch two of the runs in the videos below.
