Drag Media UK recorded this very unique Beetle at Santa Pod Raceway for the VW Action event. The story goes the car was originally a third-generation Toyota MR2 that visited Stav-Tech / Zurawski Motorsport for an engine swap. In the back of the car they installed a turbocharged 1.8 L Audi inline-four from an Audi TT. Then the owner cut the body off and shortened the chassis 50 mm to graft on a VW Beetle body. The unique car’s best quarter-mile was a 11.192 sec at 123.9 mph.
